Community Visit A: The Refugee Walk

Embark on a meaningful journey with the Christian Action Centre for Refugees and immerse yourself in the world of refugees in Hong Kong. Experience the vibrant cultures and diverse experiences within our refugee communities.

The guided walking tour, spanning approximately 2 hours from Tsim Sha Tsui to Jordan, will take you to various refugee service centers, religious establishments, and even the former Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. You'll gain unique insights into the challenges and triumphs faced by refugees in Hong Kong.

Following the walking tour, we invite you to the Centre for Refugees, located in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui at Chungking Mansions. There, you'll savor a delicious lunch prepared by talented refugee ladies, providing an opportunity to taste their culinary heritage. A refugee ambassador will also join us to share personal stories, offering firsthand perspectives on the realities of their lives.

Join us for this eye-opening experience, where you can walk alongside refugees, learn from their stories, and foster a deeper understanding of their journeys.

Christian Action Centre for Refugees stands as Hong Kong's first and only drop-in community center dedicated to asylum seekers and refugees. It offers crucial and transformative services to individuals who often find themselves fleeing from war, violence, and persecution. These individuals deserve utmost care, recognition, safety, and a warm and welcoming environment.
