Welcome
It is our great pleasure to welcome participants from around the world to the 9th World Chinese Mass Spectrometry Conference (WCMSC). The conference will be held on 6–8 November 2026 in Hong Kong, hosted at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). This event is jointly organized by the PolyU and the Hong Kong Society of Mass Spectrometry (HKSMS), with co-organization from the Chinese Mass Spectrometry Society (CMSS), the Taiwan Society for Mass Spectrometry (TSMS), and the Chinese American Society for Mass Spectrometry (CASMS). Since its establishment in 2006, WCMSC has been held biennially and has grown into an important international forum for scientific exchange within the global Chinese mass spectrometry community. The conference aims to bring together leading scientists, emerging researchers, and industry experts to share the latest advances in mass spectrometry, foster collaboration, and promote innovation across diverse scientific disciplines. We are particularly delighted that Hong Kong will host WCMSC for the first time, providing an exciting opportunity to strengthen connections among researchers across regions while showcasing Hong Kong as a vibrant international center for science, innovation, and global collaboration. The three-day in-person conference will feature over 40 plenary lectures delivered by distinguished scholars working in the field of mass spectrometry. The programme will also include e-poster presentations, creating valuable opportunities for academic exchange and professional development, particularly for early-career researchers and students. Beyond the scientific programme, participants will also have the opportunity to experience Hong Kong, a dynamic international city renowned for its world-class research environment, cultural diversity, and unique blend of Eastern and Western influences. The organizing committee hopes that this conference will provide an inspiring environment for sharing ideas, exchanging perspectives, and building meaningful collaborations. | Important Dates (Hong Kong Time, GMT+8)
