| Topic 講題 | Long Range UAV Remote Identification using LoRa 實現遠距無人機遠端識別 |
Abstract 講座撮要 | The rapid growth of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operations has created an urgent need for scalable, reliable, and cost‑effective methods of remote identification to ensure airspace safety and regulatory compliance. Conventional approaches to UAV identification rely heavily on short‑range communication technologies such as Wi‑Fi or Bluetooth, which limit detection to a few hundred meters and struggle in environments with high interference. This talk explores the use of LoRa (Long Range) communication technology as an alternative physical layer for UAV remote identification. Leveraging its ability to achieve multi‑kilometer coverage with ultra‑low power consumption, we demonstrate how LoRa can extend the effective monitoring range of UAVs, even in rural or obstructed environments. |
