Liu Wen, born in 1960.08. Bachelor (1983.06) and Ph. D. (1989 .03) of University of Science & Technology China (USTC), Post doctorate fellow of McMaster University, Canada. 

In 1992-1998 years, he was the CTO (Chief technology officer) of the Institute of solid devices, Ministry of post and telecommunications, China. He worked for Nortel Networks Inc. Canada in 1998~2002, he obtained a President Award of Nortel in 2000. 2003~2013, He serviced as the CTO of Accelink Technology Inc., Accelink was No. 1 Telecommunication Optoelectronic devices company in China. In 2005, he was awarded the “Chinese overseas professionals outstanding entrepreneurship” issued by the State Council, China. In March 2006, he was hired as a part time professor. And award as a "Yangtze River Distinguished Professor" of the Ministry of education, China. Wen Liu was transferred to the Department of optics of USTC in July 2013 as a full time professor. He has been focusing on fostering the interdisciplinary field of "Agriculture and Optics", achieving remarkable progress both domestically and internationally. He has won an United States R&D100 award in 2017. In April 2024, the Chinese Optical Society approved the establishment of the "Agricultural Optics" Special Committee of the Chinese Optical Society, Professor Liu Wen is serving as the director of the committee.

1960 年 8 月出生。畢業于中國科學技術大學，獲學士學位（1983 年）和博士學位（1989 年）。 

1992 年至 1998 年期間，曾任中國郵電部固體器件研究所的總工程師。 1998 年至 2002 年，他在加拿大NORTEL公司工作，2000 年曾獲 NORTEL公司總裁獎。 2003 年至 2013 年，他擔任光迅科技公司的總工程師，2005~2015光迅科技是中國排名第一的通信光電子器件公司。2005 年，他獲得了國務院頒發的“中國海外傑出創業人才”稱號。 2006 年，他被聘為華中科技大學兼職教授，並被獲批“教育部長江特聘教授”。 2013 年 7 月，劉文全職調入中國科學技術大學光學系。近年來他一直致力於推動“農業與光學”這一跨學科領域的研究，已取得了國內外認可的顯著成果。2017 年他獲得了美國“R&D100”獎。2024 年 4 月，中國光學學會批准成立了“農業光學”中國光學學會專項委員會，劉文教授擔任該委員會的首屆主任委員。
