Biography 簡歷

Mr Tan Chun Wei is the Director (Unmanned Systems Technology, Engineering and Planning) at the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS). In his capacity, his responsibilities include formulating strategies and policies, forging strategic partnerships to harmonize technology adoption in autonomy, connectivity and sustainability, to drive and ensure sustainable enterprise growth in the aviation sector.
He has over 25 years of experience in aeronautical engineering, operations as well as technology and industry development in aviation and energy sectors, having held various management positions in government agencies and a large engineering corporation.
Prior to his current appointment, Mr Tan held leadership positions at Aviation Industry with CAAS, Industry Promotion and Human Capital Development with Energy Market Authority, Futures & Strategy with Ministry of Trade and Industry as well as technical and management positions with ST Engineering (Aerospace).
Mr Tan holds a Bachelor of Engineering (First Class Honours) with University of Sheffield, UK, and a Master of Science in Operations Research from Naval Postgraduate School, US.
