The Development of Low-Altitude Economy from the Perspective of Geospatial Data

Abstract

撮要

The low-altitude economy, as an emerging economic model that utilizes airspace below 1,000 meters, is rapidly becoming a key engine driving the future development of cities and regions. Encompassing drones, urban air mobility (UAM), and other aerial activities, this burgeoning sector is expected to bring revolutionary transformations to logistics, transportation, and a wide range of public services. However, the safe, efficient, and orderly growth of the low-altitude economy fundamentally depends on the solid support of geospatial data.

This lecture will examine the critical role of geospatial information in fostering and shaping the low-altitude economy. It will provide an in-depth analysis of its core applications, including the development of three-dimensional digital airspace maps for refined airspace planning, dynamic flight path optimization for aircraft, and real-time obstacle avoidance. In addition, the lecture will discuss how the integration of high-precision geographic vector data, 3D models, LiDAR, and other multi-source geospatial datasets can provide high-quality data infrastructure to support low-altitude economy applications.
