Prof. Rachel M. Hayes (George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Presidential Chair in Financial Reporting and Professor of Accounting, University of Utah)

Dr. Rachel M. Hayes served as Dean of the David Eccles School of Business from 2021-2024 and was previously Associate Dean of Faculty and Research. Professor Hayes received an MBA from the University of Colorado and a Ph.D. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. She has been a faculty member at the University of Utah since 2005. Her research has been published in a number of scholarly journals, including the Journal of Accounting Research, the Journal of Accounting and Economics, and the Rand Journal of Economics.

Prof. John Jiang (Eli Broad Endowed Professor of Accounting and Information Systems, Michigan State University)

Dr. John Jiang is the Eli Broad Endowed Professor of Accounting and Information Systems, Professor of Finance (by courtesy), and Law School Faculty Affiliate at Michigan State University. He is also an associate editor at Management Science and the President-Elect of the Financial Accounting and Reporting Section of the American Accounting Association. He collects novel data to address public policy questions at the interface of accounting and finance. He is an award-winning teacher and researcher. He has been the Outstanding Teacher of the Year, the Withrow Endowed Emerging Scholar, and the inaugural Broad Integrative Fellow. He received MSU's Spirit of Ability Award "for creating vibrant environments that welcome, fortify, and compassionately challenge students with disabilities to reach their fullest ability." His research has been covered by Wall Street Journal, New York Times, NPR, Forbes, CBS News, U.S. News & World Report, Reuters, and Huffington Post. He won the 2017 American Accounting Association (AAA) Distinguished Contribution to Accounting Literature Award.

Prof. Linda Myers (Haslam Chair of Business & Distinguished Professor of Accounting, Haslam College of Business, University of Tennessee)

Linda A. Myers, Ph.D., is the Haslam Chair of Business and Distinguished Professor of Accounting in the Department of Accounting and Information Management at the University of Tennessee. She is Mary, Jack, & Daniel H. Dougherty Faculty Fellow. Myers graduated from the University of Michigan in 2001 and has published in The Accounting Review; Journal of Accounting and Economics; Journal of Accounting Research; Contemporary Accounting Research; Review of Accounting Studies; Accounting, Organizations & Society; Management Science; Auditing: A Journal of Practice & Theory; Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Finance; Journal of Accounting and Public Policy; Accounting Horizons; Journal of Business Finance & Accounting; Journal of Business Ethics; and Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting. Myers also serves as a deputy editor-in-chief for Contemporary Accounting Research; as an editor for Auditing: A Journal of Practice & Theory, Accounting Horizons and the Journal of International Accounting Research; as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Finance; and as an ad-hoc editor for The Accounting Review. She also serves on the editorial board of European Accounting Review and previously served on the editorial board of the Journal of International Business Studies.

Prof. Gaizka Ormazabal (Professor of Accounting and Control, IESE Business School)

Dr. Gaizka Ormazabal is an associate dean for Research and PhD program since 2023 and Professor in the Accounting and Control Department. Professor Ormazabal’s research focuses on executive compensation and corporate governance. His work examines the choice and valuation implications of corporate governance mechanisms. His research appears in leading academic journals including, among others, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Law and Economics, Review of Accounting Studies and The Accounting Review. His research has been featured in the popular media, including such outlets as the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, The Economist, Forbes, and Bloomberg and has been cited in final rulings by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the European Securities and Markets Authority. He is editor of Review of Accounting Studies. 

Prof. Clare Wang (Professor, Plante Moran / EKS&H Faculty Fellow, University of Colorado Boulder)

Dr. Clare Wang’s research examines the roles that legal, regulatory, and financial reporting regimes play in capital markets and corporate activities. She also studies emerging forms of disclosure such as corporate accountability reporting and social media platforms. Her research has been published in each of the field’s leading journals including the Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting and Economics, and The Accounting Review. Clare’s previous academic appointments include Associate Professor of Accounting at the University of Iowa (2017-2019) and Assistant Professor of Accounting at Northwestern University (2011-2017). Prior to devoting herself to academic research, Clare worked for Goldman Sachs in the investment banking division.

Prof. Huai Zhang (Professor of Accounting, Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University)

Prof. Huai Zhang has published in the following Financial Times Top-50 journals: Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Accounting Research, Journal of Finance, Management Science, Contemporary Accounting Research, and Review of Accounting Studies. He is devoted to mentoring young talent, and the majority of his publications are coauthored with his doctoral students. He received the Best Paper Award at the 2004 International Finance Conference and the 2016 Midwest Finance Association Meeting. He was also the recipient of Nanyang Business School Research Excellence Award in 2011, 2013 and 2019. He is the President of CAPANA (Chinese Accounting Professors' Association of North America), and the keynote speaker at several accounting research conferences. He sits on the editorial board of several academic journals, including Contemporary Accounting Research, Journal of Business Finance & Accounting, China Accounting and Finance Review, the International Journal of Accounting and Review of Accounting and Finance.
