Inauguration Ceremony of the Consortium of Chinese Women Mathematicians and the Women Mathematicians Forum

Introduction

Inspired and supported by renowned mathematician Professor YAU Shing Tung, the International Consortium of Chinese Mathematicians (ICCM) is establishing the Consortium of Chinese Women Mathematicians (CWM). This new Consortium aims to bring together women mathematicians, fostering academic exchange and collaboration, and advancing the frontiers of mathematical education and research.

To celebrate this important milestone, the Inauguration Ceremony of the Consortium of Chinese Women Mathematicians, along with the first Council Meeting and the Women Mathematicians Forum, will be held on 4 October 2025 (Saturday) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) campus. The event is organized by ICCM, co-organized by the Hong Kong Mathematical Society (HKMS), and hosted by the Department of Applied Mathematics at PolyU.

Professor YAU Shing Tung, distinguished guests from ICCM and HKMS, and renowned women mathematicians from around the world will gather to witness this new chapter in mathematical research and share their valuable insights on the future development of mathematics.

簡介

由著名數學家丘成桐教授的啟發及大力推動，世界華人數學家聯盟（英文簡稱ICCM）新下設「華人女數學家聯盟」（Consortium of Chinese Women Mathematicians），旨在匯聚女性數學家，促進學術交流與合作，推動數學教育與研究的前沿發展。

為慶祝這一重要里程碑，「華人女數學家聯盟」成立典禮暨首屆華人女數學家聯盟理事會及女數學家論壇將於2025年10月4日（星期六）假香港理工大學校園舉辦。

首屆會議由世界華人數學家聯盟（英文簡稱ICCM）主辦，香港數學學會（HKMS）協辦，香港理工大學應用數學系承辦。屆時，丘成桐教授、來自ICCM和HKMS的嘉賓，眾多傑出女數學家將聚首一堂，共同見證數學科研邁向新篇章，並分享對數學未來發展的真知灼見。
