Workshop on Structure-preserving numerical methods and their applications
20-24 July 2024
Theme/Aims and Objectives
This workshop aims to bring together a panel of experts from the field of numerical analysis and scientific computing to discuss recent advancements in structure preserving numerical methods. The focus will be on methods that preserve the key structural properties of the underlying physical or mathematical systems, such as conservation laws, symplecticity, and stability. Topics of interest include but are not limited to, geometric integration, Hamiltonian systems, time integration methods, and structure preserving discretizations of PDEs and SPDEs. The workshop will provide a platform for local students and researchers to exchange ideas, share research findings, and foster collaborations in this rapidly evolving field.
