Competition Rules

Preliminary Round (Online)

The preliminary round will be conducted online and consists of two phases:

• Simulation Trial
  Each participant will receive an individual practice account to complete one full simulation run (one scenario) at any chosen time. This helps familiarize participants with the system interface and operating procedures.
   
• Simulation Competition
  Each participant must independently complete one full scenario and submit the final decision. Final submissions may be completed at any time during the competition period. The system will score submissions automatically based on completion and performance. The team’s simulation score is the average score of all team members’ simulation results. If any team member fails to submit a final simulation decision, the final team score will still be calculated based on the total number of registered team members.
   

Grand Final (Offline)

The Grand Final will be hosted by the PolyU Business School Case Centre and will consist of two core competition components over two days:

• Grand Final Simulation Competition (Day 1)
  An 80-minute simulation where each participant must independently complete one full scenario and submit the final decision. The team simulation score is the average score of all team members’ simulation results.
   
• Greater Bay Area Enterprise Case Competition (Day 2)
  • Advance Distribution
    Before the Grand Final, qualified teams will receive the background materials and industry prompts for a real Greater Bay Area enterprise case.
  • Company Visit
    On the first day of the Grand Final, teams will conduct an on-site visit to a Greater Bay Area enterprise.
  • On-site Analysis
    Teams will complete a case analysis proposal within the designated time based on the case materials.
  • Presentation and Defense
    On the second day of the Grand Final, teams will give an on-site presentation and respond to questions from the judging panel. Presentations may be delivered in Chinese or English.
