Awards

The following awards recognise exceptional achievements by our students, recognising their hard work, innovation, and dedication to advancing knowledge in their respective fields.
 

Best Paper Award

All All abstracts are reviewed and scored by the Technical Programme Committee (TPC). Abstracts with the highest review scores are selected as the candidates for the Best Paper Award, and will be presented in the Best Paper Session. The presentations will be evaluated by a judging panel.

The criteria below are taken into consideration for this award.

  • Novelty
  • Research Methods
  • Significance of Results
  • Logical Organisation
  • Clarity of Expression
  • Oral Presentation (clarity/ style of presentation and responses to questions)

Prize

  • Best Paper Award: HK$20,000
  • Best Paper – Runner up: HK$10,000
     

Best Presentation Award

There will be a number of presentation sessions in the conference under different themes. This award is provided to the presentations which are selected to be the best in the particular session. 

Each presentation is evaluated by the session co-chairs and the average mark of both co-chairs is taken as the final mark. The best presentation from each session will be selected based on the final mark received from the session co-chairs and the final decision is given by the Conference Chairs.

  • Content and Relevance
  • Research Methods
  • Organisation and Delivery
  • Clarity/ Style of Presentation 
  • Time Management and Engagement with Audience

Prize

  • Best Presentation Award: HK$2,000
  • Best Presentation – Runner up: HK$1,000
     

Best Poster Award

Each poster is evaluated by the TPC based on criteria below. The poster with the highest mark shall be recommended for the Best Poster Award and the final decision is given by the Conference Chairs. .

  • Depth of Content
  • Introduction and Abstract
  • Content knowledge and organisation 
  • Poster Design and Overall Visual Appeal

Prize

  • Best Poster Award: HK$2,000
  • Best Poster – Runner up: HK$1,000
