ICGE 2025 Welcome
Welcome to ICGE 2025
Building on the success of the inaugural International Conference on Geomatics Education held in May 2023 (ICGE 2023), the Department of Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics (LSGI) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University is planning to organize the second conference, scheduled for early December 2025 (ICGE 2025). The conference will focus on addressing the role of AI in Geomatics Education, exploring both perspectives and challenges.
Under the theme “AI for Geomatics Education: Perspectives and Challenges,” ICGE2025 will bring together global educators, researchers, and industry leaders to explore the transformative role of AI in advancing geospatial science education. The conference will address critical opportunities, innovative methodologies, and ethical considerations in integrating AI technologies into geomatics curricula and practices.
Conference Objectives
- To explore how AI can transform geomatics education and enhance the learning experiences of students in geospatial science.
- To create a platform for educators and researchers from around the world to share insights, experiences, and innovative practices related to AI integration in geomatics.
- To discuss the emerging opportunities and challenges that arise from incorporating AI technologies into geomatics curricula, contributing to the continuous evolution of geospatial education by influencing future directions and standards.
