Registration Fee

The registration fee is HK$4,000 per person.  This registration fee covers all seminars, workshops, field trips and the associated materials. The registration fee is non-refundable and non-waivable.

Accommodation Fee

The organizer has reserved a limited number of 4-person rooms (link) in the BP International (link) for the participants, subject to availability and on a first-come-first-served basis. The accommodation rate is HK$2,075 per person for six nights (from 4 August to 9 August 2024). The hotel reserves the right to make a final decision on room allocation. Pre-payments are non-refundable.

Other Expenses

The applicants themselves will be responsible for the expenses incurred in connection with their attendance of the Summer School, which include but not limited to the transportation cost, accommodation, meals and insurance. 

Non-local participants are strongly advised to purchase travel and medical insurance with adequate coverage before arrival. The host university will not bear any medical or accidental expenses.

Payment Methods

The payment must be made through the PolyU online payment link. The link will be provided in the email which will be sent to applicants after submitting the online application form. Applicants should put the same full name in English and the same email address in the application form and the payment form. 

Accepted payment methods include:

• Visa and Mastercard (Worldwide Acceptance) and Union Pay cards (issued by banks in the Chinese Mainland, and specified Union Pay credit cards issued in Hong Kong and Macau)
• Alipay and Wechat Pay

Note: Registration will be confirmed on a first-come-first-served basis and on receipt of full payment. The Summer School will be held subject to meeting the minimum enrolment. The host university reserves the right to cancel the Summer School or revise the program if any unforeseeable situations (including bad weather) arise.
