Abstract
The panel discussion focuses on the Uniservitate Programme’s aim to transform Catholic Higher Education Institutions (CHEIs) by institutionalizing Service-Learning as a tool for integral education and social change aligned with church teachings.
The spiritual dimension of SL is especially significant in multicultural contexts, where diverse beliefs and practices intersect. This discussion will explore how spirituality shapes SL experiences and the importance of creating models that honor these spiritual identities.
Key objectives include examining the various expressions of spirituality within SL programs, identifying challenges and prospects for integrating spirituality in diverse settings and developing culturally sensitive approaches that embed spirituality into the ethos of CHEIs.
The discussion aims to enhance understanding of the spiritual dimensions of SL, promoting a more inclusive approach in higher education that respects the diverse backgrounds of students and their communities.
