Abstract

This workshop aims to enhance the effectiveness of service-learning student teams by leveraging the 9 Dimensions of Team Evaluation. Service-Learning (SL) instructors will learn to apply these dimensions to improve their student teams' communication, project management, and interpersonal relationships.

Outcomes-based Learning Objectives

- Explain and apply the 9 Dimensions of Team Evaluation to enhance their students’ service-learning team dynamics.
- Develop strategies to improve communication, project management, and interpersonal relationships within their student teams.
- Create actionable plans for ongoing student team development and improvement in SL project management.

Target Audience

This workshop is tailored for educators aiming to enhance the performance of student teams in managing service-learning (SL) projects. Participants should have a foundational understanding of service-learning principles and a strong interest in improving team effectiveness.

Topic Relevance

This workshop addresses the need for effective team-building strategies in service-learning contexts, a critical component for achieving successful project outcomes.
