  • Presenters must bring the slide(s) on a USB drive and copy the slide(s) to the desktop before the session starts.
  • Please be present in your session at least 15 minutes before the beginning of the session and report to the session chair. We would also suggest you have a PDF version of your slide(s) on a separate USB stick as a backup plan in case your original version fails to render properly.

Tips for preparing high-quality presentations

  • Keep it simple: keep each slide as simple as possible
  • Give a good start: grab the attention of your audience at the beginning by starting with a compelling introduction of the background of your work
  • Avoid having too many technical details: present only a few highlights of your original contribution in your work and emphasise high-level ideas on why your contributions are original in the context of related work
  • Use examples: use a few examples to make your talk more understandable
  • Keep a calm pace: deliver your talk at a relaxed pace
  • Manage the time: use a timer on your side to be aware of the amount of time left
