Prof. Sok Ying Liaw is the Head of Department for Alice Lee Centre for Nursing Studies at National University of Singapore.

Sok Ying’s PRIME research focuses on Patient safety with emphasis on: Recognising and responding to clinical deterioration; Interprofessional collaboration and education, Manpower nursing workforce and development and; Experiential learning using simulation. Currently, she is an Associate Editor of Clinical Simulation in Nursing. 

 


Dr Kathleen McGrow is the Global Chief Nursing Innovation Officer at Microsoft, where she leads strategic initiatives in digital health transformation. Her work focuses on addressing workforce challenges, enhancing patient and provider engagement, and advancing cognitive computing to support a learning health system.

Dr McGrow earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. With a background in trauma critical care and health IT, she brings deep expertise to the intersection of clinical practice and emerging technologies. She is a recognized thought leader in the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare, with notable publications including “Foundation Models, Generative AI, and Large Language Models: Essentials for Nursing” and “Implications of Artificial Intelligence for Nurse Managers.” Her most recent work is her book, “Empowering Nurses with Technology: A Practical Guide to Nurse Informatics,” published in January 2025.

In addition to her role at Microsoft, Dr McGrow co-chairs the HIMSS Nursing Innovation Advisory Committee and serves as an adjunct clinical instructor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing.
 


Prof. Michael Joseph Dino is a multi-awarded researcher, educator, and scientist. He is the Director for Research Development and Innovation Center of Our Lady of Fatima University and Past President, Phi Gamma Chapter, Sigma International Honor Society in Nursing. He is an Apple Distinguished Educator and former member of its Advisory Board. He is a 2020 Global Nurse Leadership Institute Academy Scholar and honored as a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing (USA), the National League for Nursing (USA), and the Royal College of Surgeons (Ireland). He was named the Outstanding Professional of the Year in Nursing by the Philippine Professional Regulatory Commission in 2023. Dr Dino is the Director for Research, Development, and Innovation at Our Lady of Fatima University and is completing his Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the University of Central Florida, USA. He is involved in various studies and research projects in motion capture, human-computer interaction, mixed reality technologies, and artificial intelligence, with a focus on large language models, computer vision, model development, and testing for health and behavioral science metrics. He holds a double PhD degree from the University of Santo Tomas (Philippines) and Johns Hopkins University (USA). He received training and exposure in Artificial Intelligence for allied health and medicine at Harvard (A2-AI initiative) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 2024 to 2025.

 

Dr Nguyen Thi Hoa Huyen is a senior faculty member and Director of the Nursing Program at VinUniversity, Vietnam. She is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia, and a Research Scholar affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn), USA. Her research focuses on AI-driven innovations in healthcare, with a particular emphasis on symptom management, mental health screening, and personalized care for women with cancer and chronic conditions. She has led the development of AI-based digital health tools, including a mobile app for early detection of psychological distress, now in use at major hospitals in Vietnam. Dr Huyen works extensively with international collaborators to embed AI technologies into community health models and is a peer reviewer for leading journals in digital health, women's health, and nursing science.

 

Prof. Younhee Kang, RN, MSN-ANP, Ph.D., FAAN, currently serves as the Dean of the College of Nursing at Ewha Womans University. She is a recognized expert in several research areas, including the theory of uncertainty, physical and cognitive functioning among community-dwelling older adults, health promotion for middle-aged women, nursing education in low-resource settings, and the measurement of nursing workloads.

Her current research focuses on developing methods to assess nursing workloads through the integration of advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), Cloud Computing, Big Data, and Mobile platforms (AICBM). She is also actively engaged in international collaborations aimed at empowering nursing professionals and enhancing health and healthcare systems in underdeveloped regions.

Prof. Kang has been a dedicated contributor to numerous academic and professional organizations, including the Korean Nurses Association, the Korean Society for Unification, the Korean Society of Women’s Health Nursing, and the Korean Accreditation Board of Nursing Education, among others.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Ewha Womans University and her Master of Science in Nursing (Adult Nurse Practitioner) and Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, USA.
 


Dr Wang got her baccalaureate and maser degree in Nursing and PhD in Psychology at Peking University. She is a professor and doctoral supervisor at Peking University School of Nursing, the Director at Peking University Centre for Evidence-Based Nursing: a JBI Center of Excellence, a qualified trainer of systematic review programs authorized by JBI. She teaches Nursing Research and Evidence-based Nursing in baccalaureate and master levels.

Dr Wang’s research interests focus on dementia care, evidence-based intelligent decision making. Supported by research projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Social Science Fund of China, her research team developed the monitoring indicator system for actively responding to aging, a dementia care knowledge graph and an intelligent recommender system for caregivers of demented older adults, and are developing an intelligent decision support system to realize the precise detection and prevention of falls and mental health problems in disabled older adults. Dr Wang has published more than 160 research papers as the first author or corresponding author, and developed 7 clinical guidelines and group standards.

Dr Wang is the Vice Chairman of the committee of Geriatric Nursing in Chinese Nursing Association, the Vice Chairman of the committee of Horticultural Therapy in Chinese Society of Landscape Architecture. As a chief of vice-chief editor, she has edited 17 textbooks such as Methods in Nursing Research, Geriatric Health Assessment, Non-Pharmacological Management of Agitation for Older Adults with Dementia. She was awarded as National First-Class Undergraduate Course, Beijing Frist-Class Textbook, Excellent Tutor, Excellent Teacher and so on.
